Gregg announces resignation, effective July 1
DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) — Lt. Gov. Adam Gregg will resign from his post, effective July 1, to pursue a career opportunity and spend more time with his family, Gov. Kim Reynolds said Wednesday.
In a statement, Reynolds thanked Gregg for his service to the state and wished him well in his future endeavors.
Gregg, a Republican, was elected lieutenant governor in 2018. He previously served in the Iowa Senate.
No word yet on Gregg's plans or his replacement.
