Packers list MarShawn Lloyd, Tucker Kraft as questionable ahead of Vikings opener
Green Bay could be without two key offensive players in Week 1
Tight end Marcedes Lewis also not practicing Thursday due to illness
The Green Bay Packers could be without two key offensive players in their season opener against the Minnesota Vikings. Running back MarShawn Lloyd and tight end Tucker Kraft were both listed as questionable on Thursday's injury report. Lloyd is dealing with an ankle injury he suffered in the preseason finale against the Kansas City Chiefs. Kraft is dealing with a knee injury he suffered in practice last week. The Packers are also dealing with an illness that has sidelined tight end Marcedes Lewis. Lewis did not practice on Thursday and is also questionable for Sunday's game. If Lloyd and Kraft are unable to play, the Packers will be without two of their top playmakers on offense. Lloyd is expected to be the team's starting running back, while Kraft is expected to be a key contributor in the passing game. The Packers are hoping that both players will be able to play on Sunday, but they will likely be game-time decisions. The Packers have a number of options if Lloyd and Kraft are unable to play. Running back Aaron Jones is expected to start in place of Lloyd, while tight end Robert Tonyan is expected to start in place of Kraft.
The Packers could also promote running back Dexter Williams from the practice squad to provide depth behind Jones. Williams has impressed the coaching staff in the preseason.
