Luis Robert Jr. had a night to remember on Tuesday, leading the Chicago White Sox to a 5-4 victory over the Houston Astros. The 25-year-old center fielder went 4-for-5 with two home runs, two singles, and four RBIs.
Robert's first home run came in the first inning off Astros starter Framber Valdez. He then singled in a run in the third inning and hit a solo home run in the fifth.
The Astros struck out a season-high 16 times in the game, as White Sox starter Garrett Crochet allowed just four hits and one run over seven innings. Crochet also struck out nine batters, tying his career high.
The win snapped the Astros' eight-game winning streak and moved the White Sox to within 2.5 games of first place in the AL West. For Robert, it was his second four-hit game of the season and his first multi-home run game since May.
