In a thrilling semi-final matchup, FC Barcelona defeated VfL Wolfsburg 5-3 on aggregate to reach the UEFA Women's Champions League final. After a 1-1 draw in the first leg in Germany, Barcelona dominated the second leg in their home stadium, Camp Nou, with a convincing 4-2 victory.
Asisat Oshoala opened the scoring for Barcelona in the 10th minute, giving the Spanish giants an early advantage. However, Wolfsburg fought back with goals from Jill Roord and Marina Hegering to level the aggregate score. In the other semi-final, Chelsea defeated seven-time champions Lyon 5-4 on aggregate. After a goalless draw in the first leg in Lyon, the second leg at Stamford Bridge was an intense affair.
Chelsea took the lead through Niamh Charles, but Lyon equalized through Ada Hegerberg. The game remained level until the second half, when Millie Bright and Erin Cuthbert scored for Chelsea. Lyon pulled one back through Selma Bacha in the 84th minute, but Chelsea held on to secure a narrow victory and advance to the final.
